At Mallcom, we believe in keeping our employees protected as much as we believe in keeping our customers protected. With this in mind, we conducted two vaccination drives over the last month and successfully vaccinated over 80% of our employees & their families under the Workplace Worker Vaccination (WPV). We aim to cover 100% of our employees by the end of July,2021. We would like to specially thank our senior management, the HR and the admin team for facilitating this drive.

This had to happen. The numbers were increasing too much in a very short time and the growth was exponential. The State Government has declared a lock down for the next 2 weeks. We are sure that the lessons of 2020 would be of great help as we transition to WFH (work from home) for the next 2 weeks.

Amidst the rising number of Covid positive cases, the state government has announced a partial lockdown . Mallcom has started implementing WFH policy asking all employees to work from home. Additionally we have taken adequate measures to ensure business continuity.

It seems the second wave is here to stay, as India continues to see a daily rise of covid positive patients. We might see harsher measures taken by the Government to contain the number of infections.

Our manufacturing operations of knitted gloves, nitrile industrial gloves, safety shoes and work wear continue to function at full production capacity. Mallcom takes covid protocols very seriously. Each unit maintains strict social distancing measures and is equipped with sanitizers for the workers to use.

Proud to enhance our offerings for the range of disposable work wear segment with introduction of different weight (gsm) of SMS fabric. We are now manufacturing aprons, gowns, shoe covers, caps and PPE coverall. The heat seam sealing tape capacity has been increased from making 450 pcs to 2,000 pcs per day. All tape seam sealing machines are automatic thermostatic heat-controlled mechanism to ensure 100% efficient seam seal.

The PPE coverall is made from 40gsm non-laminated PP spun woven to meet the generic workers to 75 gsm SMS tri-laminate composite barrier PPE for doctors and care givers attending to infectious patients.

Launched ‘COVID-19 Preparedness Manual’

We all want to start again. From when we stopped. But it won’t happen any time soon. That’s because on that day, March 24,when the lockdown began, the old normal ceased, and the new normal came into being.

Since the new normal gave us time to introspect, it taught us valuable lessons too. Like empathy, gratitude and benevolence.

We, at Mallcom, have prepared a manual for our head office and works that talks about how to resume operations by following COVID 19 safety protocols.

The new way of running operations is to ensure workers can stay COVID 19 free and focus only on giving their best to the nation.

We are more than happy to share this valuable resource with all MSME friends. We believe that sharing and caring is the only way to protect and strengthen each other.

We have our winners of Stay Protected With Positivity contest.

Over past few days we have received huge response and love for our contest. It has been an immersive experience for all of us and going through your poems, essays and paintings have made us grow as human beings. We are proud to have received creative ideas from every part of the nation and now the difficult task of choosing the best begins. To us, at Mallcom, every one of you who has shared our enthusiasm or have contributed with an idea is a winner.

#StayProtectedWithPositivity Contest

In these testing times the world needs the healing touch of optimism and hope. Mallcom conducted Stay Protected With Positivity contest. In which contestant has to share a prose, poem, or painting to win exciting prizes! The prose and poems can be in Hindi and English. The contest is open for all, with no age barrier. Moreover, a contestant can share in multiple categories.

We have also lined up eminent judges to assist us in chossing the winners.

• First up, for Painting, we have Mr. Aloke Tirtha Bhowmick. He is an educationist and artist of national and international repute.
• For Hindi Verse, we have our very own Ms. Manasi Joshi. Amongst the other things in her kitty, like software engineering and para-badminton, she also has a strong grip hold on Hindi.
• For Hindi Prose, we have none other than,Dr. Chandra Mehrotra. Retired Professor of Hindi
• Moving on to English verse, we have Mr. Sunil Bhandari-Corporate honcho, author and host of ‘Uncut Poetry’.
• Finally for English prose, we have Dr. Aatrayee Ghosh - With a PhD. in English (Lit), curator, literary festivals

We are abiding by state rules in number of workers that are allowed to work in the premises.

On World Heath Day, Mallcom launched PPE kit to meet the need of Healthcare sector.

We have added body-overalls, aprons, gowns and shoe covers in addition to our existing range of manufactured face masks. These products are made specially for the healthcare professionals.

Overall, aprons and shoe cover are laminated, one-time use, recyclable, disposable products to protect from bio-hazard risk, and harmful particles. It is ideal for infectious diseases and isolation work frequented by health care workers during this time.

This is an initiative by Mallcom for the entire nation. Our health workers, are our biggest strength, fighting this disease day in and out for all our effected brothers and sisters. We, at Mallcom, are very proud to play an important part in this fight over Covid 19.

We have scaled up the capacity and 100% capacity is dedicated to meet the state and central government needs. Only 50% to be given to dealer network in rationed quantity. Once again, Mallcom forbids anyone to hoard these essential items and charge additional amount above maximum retail price (MRP).
